Aïda Nciri: Passionate about building inclusive and resilient communities, Aïda is the co-chair of the Calgary Climate Hub. With over seven years of research experience and community engagement in the non-profit, academic, and institutional sector, Aïda brings a sound interdisciplinary expertise in energy and climate policies, urban governance, and community building. Aïda holds a Master Degree of Public Policies from Sciences-Po Paris (France) and a PhD degree from the University of Calgary.
Dr. Joe Vipond, co-Chair is an emergency physician practicing at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. He was one of the key organizers for both the Alberta and Canadian Coal Phase Outs, and sits on the national board of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment.
Ginny Kloos, Secretary, is a software developer by day and community organizer by night. She recently became a Calgarian and is passionate about the potential that exists within the communities here to drive Calgary towards sustainable leadership. She believes we have the power to show Alberta and Canada what extraordinary change looks like and that it is possible.
Vincent Morales, Treasurer, is an analyst in clean economy with the Pembina Institute. He holds a MSc in environmental technology and energy policy from Imperial College London and is committed to accelerate the world's transition to sustainability.
Dr. Andrea Hull is a family physician at the Mosaic Refugee Health Clinic, Elbow River Healing Lodge, and The Alex Youth Clinic. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE), and co-chair of the Global Health Unit for the Cumming School of Medicine in Calgary.
Bob Morrison is a planner with over forty years of experience, primarily in the fields of water management and transportation. In addition to managing planning studies and facilitating public involvement, he has conducted ground-breaking technical work on a variety of issues including institutional analysis, performance measures, health-care reform, campaign finance, and municipal finances.
Bob Hawkesworth has had a long career in public elected office. He was chosen by constituents to represent them in 10 elections. Bob served for 23 years as a member of Calgary City Council and for two terms as a Member of the Alberta Legislature for Calgary Mountainview.
Ricky Poon is a database manager with degrees in social work and neuroscience. A jack of all trades, he is eager build connections in the community and strengthen environmental policies.
Walter Hossli founded Momentum, a Calgary based community organization dedicated to economic development with people on low incomes. He has served on a number of boards, including the Calgary Foundation and the Canadian Community Economic Development Network. His passions are community organizing and gardening.
