Answer

A node is a volunteer-led group that takes action. Quite simply, it’s how we organize the people doing the work. As of May 2023, we have 7 Nodes:

  1. Provincial Election Campaign: working on rallying public support for climate action by our next government
  2. Events: planning, preparation and hosting events for the Hub and various partners
  3. Communications: content creation and delivery across social media, website and other platforms
  4. Nature: focusing on Nature-based solutions in Calgary, and involved in our Tiny Forest project
  5. Fund Development: sponsor relations, grant research and application, and crowdfunding campaigns
  6. Research & Policy: analysis of City climate actions and delivery of our municipal climate report card
  7. Engagement: mobilizing volunteers for engaging with City Hall and other stakeholders
