Join the Haskayne School of Business for the 2nd Annual Canadian Sustainable Finance Network (CSFN) Conference, hosted virtually by the Centre for Corporate Sustainability from Friday, November 19 to Saturday, November 20, 2021.

The next annual UN climate change conference, COP26, is in Glasgow, Scotland, from October 31 to November 12. As such, COP 26 will be top of mind across the world for those who lead efforts to transform investment and our energy systems. If successful, COP26 will be a significant milestone for the transition to a sustainable future, and finance will be critical to accelerating and smoothing this transition. At its best, finance plays a critical role in applying evolutionary pressure to organizational value creation and vision. However, the formal and informal institutions of finance and energy present significant challenges of driving meaningful changes and require frank and brave discussion with academics, educators and sustainable finance practitioners.

The CSFN conference will bring together like-minded academics and financial industry participants to discuss the latest innovation in sustainable finance research and education. The conference presents an opportunity to discuss current and challenging issues related to sustainable finance development in Canada. Ultimately, the conference's goal is to serve as a platform for discussions that will support the transition of Canada's financial system to one in which sustainable growth is ingrained in everyday policy decisions and business practices.
