The Calgary Climate Hub is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization that unites a diverse group of Calgarians committed to working together to support meaningful local action on climate change. We represent a variety of communities, industries, cultures and causes. We believe that a broad and diverse range of Calgarians and organizations need to be engaged on the climate crisis to develop impactful solutions that fit our unique political and economic circumstances.
Vision: Calgary is a leader on climate action.
Mission: We educate and empower Calgarians to become active climate citizens.
Our main activities include:
- Community Climate Conversations (CCC's): interact (virtually) with climate experts, talk to your neighbours about climate issues and get together to take local climate action;
- A Climate of Change (aCOC): a webinar series where top Canadian thinkers examine how we respond to the pandemic and what it will mean to build back better; and
- Municipal-level Climate Advocacy: our current campaigns focus on advocating for Green Stimulus, transit, city planning, and net-zero energy generation through our ENMAX campaign. Check out our blog for updates.
