Jared Blustein

Director

Jared was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and from a young age fell in love with the foothills, prairies and mountains. He became involved in activism and the nonprofit sector after witnessing the interconnected impacts of Indigenous land dispossession, socio-economic injustice, and human-driven climate change. After completing a graduate degree in 2017, he co-founded The Allium Restaurant and Bodega Worker Cooperative, which closed in the summer of 2023. Jared brings years of climate focused nonprofit experience, and is excited to now be part of the Calgary Climate Hub!
