Thank you to our outgoing Executive Director

The Calgary Climate Hub Board would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to outgoing Executive Director, Angela McIntyre. Angela has served the Hub with passion and integrity since March 2022 and leaves us in a healthy financial and operational position to continue addressing climate challenges in our community.

Angela’s tenure saw the growth of our Tiny Forests initiative and strengthening of our commitment to Tree Equity in Calgary. Successful advocacy campaigns to City Hall over the last two years were made possible by Angela’s steady management of the day-to-day operations of our growing organization, as was the development of our digital programs and valuable, collaborative relationships with other climate-oriented organizations in Calgary and across the region.

A farewell message from Angela

Dear Members of the Calgary Climate Hub,

After two years of working with the Calgary Climate Hub I have made the decision not to put my name forward as the Executive Director of the Calgary Climate Hub once my contract expires on March 31st 2024. It has been an incredible journey over the past two years, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead and contribute to the organization's mission.

I take immense pride in the accomplishments achieved during my tenure. Notably, I am pleased to share that I will be leaving the organization with a healthy financial position. Additionally, I have implemented well-developed processes for the operations team, elevated the organization's profile in the Calgary area, and cultivated a respected reputation within the community. This matches my ethos of leaving a place better than when you found it and I can sincerely say that I am doing that.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the collaborative spirit and dedication demonstrated by the Calgary Climate Hub. It has been a privilege to lead this organization, and I am confident that the Calgary Climate Hub will continue to thrive under new leadership. I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of the organization and the positive impact it will undoubtedly have on our community and the broader environmental movement.

Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of the Calgary Climate Hub. It has been a rewarding experience, and I wish the organization continued success in all its future endeavors.
