The Hub is pleased to welcome Adria Lund as our Volunteer Coordinator/Admin Support person!

There are some changes coming up in the fall, as the Hub combines the roles of Volunteer Coordinator and Administrative Support into one position. We're excited that Adria Lund has agreed to take on this role between now and December 31st as we work on developing new grant applications to take our volunteers and campaigns to the next level.

Adria spent 15 years with the Glenbow Museum and Archives, helping to create the best historical database in Canada as well as working with Indigenous collections, delivering programs, and working in the museum shop. She also serves as Vice President on the board of Hearts & Hands Foundation in Canmore. She is a self-starter who will bring her excellent organizational and communication skills to the new position.

Kurt Archer moved to Victoria this spring during COVID, and loves it so much he's decided to stay. Calgary's loss will be Victoria's gain. He will still be around until mid-September finishing up the current Volunteer Program Enhancement Project Grant, thanks to the support of Calgary Foundation. Simone Lee is continuing to help us with cleaning up our filing system and distributing the Fast & Fair Climate Action lawn signs (get yours here!) as part of the campaign for the municipal election on October 18.

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of both Kurt and Simone, and are happy that they will continue to be involved in the Hub!

Adria's first official day will be Tuesday, August 3. You will be able to reach her at [email protected].
