Zero Waste YYC Meetup - Presented by Plastic-Free YYC

Brew up some casual discussion with Plastic-Free YYC and fellow Calgarians on a low-waste journey about struggles and wins as a low-waster in YYC. Cabin Brewing Company will also talk about low-waste brewing and how you can save $$ as well as go nearly waste-free enjoying your favourite beer. (PS we scored guests a discount on growler, howler refills and beer drank in the tap room.)

Container Drive

In addition to this meetup we are inviting participants to bring extra/unwanted food containers*, mismatched cutlery, travel mugs* and water bottles*. We are working with a local group call YYC Helping Homeless to supply takeaway dinner kits to their clients during their meal services. Everyone deserves to help reduce waste.

(*items must be in good working condition with lids that close. med-large containers that can fit a full meal. Please do not bring recyclables eg yoghurt containers. Inappropriate items will be sent home with you)

This event is FREE as most of our Zero-Waste meet-up as we try to make an inclusive for all Calgarians. Space is limited so make sure to register early.

***If you can no longer make it, let Zero-Waste know. Its FREE for you but there are costs associated and we must have an accurate headcount. ***
