This workshop is Part Two of a two-part series – register for Part One here
In this second workshop, participants are invited to return with their willow wreath base (or one will be provided) and continue the process through decoration and reflection. Using a selection of dried flowers grown and prepared locally, we will explore how plants can carry meaning, memory, and emotion.
This session focuses on identifying plant materials and reflecting on the relationships we hold with them. Participants will be encouraged to consider questions such as: What do these plants remind me of? How do they make me feel? What relationships do I hold with the natural world?
Through this process, wreath-making becomes a form of storytelling, an opportunity to express connection, care, and personal experience through natural materials. This workshop also reinforces the importance of sustained engagement, encouraging participants to deepen their relationship not only with their own work, but with the plants and environment that make it possible.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with a completed wreath that reflects both their creativity and their connection to more-than-human beings.
No prior experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.
