Bursary Overview
Calgary Climate Hub's Youth Climate Action Bursary provides financial support to youth climate activists in Calgary who are either attending a post-secondary school in Calgary, or have graduated from a Calgary high school and are attending post-secondary education elsewhere.
There will be four to eight bursaries to award, ranging from $500 - $1000 each.
Applicant Eligibility
- Will be attending a post-secondary institution in Calgary for 2026/2027 OR
- Have graduated from a Calgary high school and will be attending post-secondary education elsewhere in 2026/27
Application Process
Your application will include:
- A brief (200-500 words) description of your involvement in youth climate activism.
- Examples of this might include involvement in the climate strike movement, leadership in a school eco-club, or work with a community, church, school, service, or political organization on a climate-related project.
- Institution and intended program of study for the upcoming academic year
- Links (if any) to any online projects or media relevant to the application
Deadlines and Additional Information
- The application deadline for the 2026/27 school year is September 15, 2026, 11:59PM MST
- Members of the board of directors or bursary selection committee at the Calgary Climate Hub board, plus their families, are NOT eligible
- Students can win this award in multiple years but must apply each year.
