Creating a Climate Just Future

The Art of Protest program invites all community members to get involved in creative resistance. By coming together through art, dance, music, movement and more, we seek to envision and realize what a climate just future looks like through personal and collective narratives.

In recognition that artistic expression can propel us towards action and understanding, this program works to foster a united climate community, and greater and more inclusive dialogue about a climate just future through creative initiatives, workshops, and events.

Join us, make new friends, and help to animate the climate movement through art and cultural engagements!

Past Projects

In preparation for the 2025 G7 Summit taking place in Kananaskis, AB, the Calgary Climate Hub organized a series of Art of Protest workshops over 4 months to create Climate Flags that shared community messages for a healthy and just future.

The project displayed 396 climate flags, measuring 85 meters (280 feet), and was co-created by students, youth, seniors, and more.
