Jump in on the Calgary Climate Hub's AGM keynote speaker session with Water Protector Latasha Calf Robe!
Matóómiikaamó’sitsaakii ‘First Steals Woman’ [english name Latasha Calf Robe] is a proud member of the Kainaiwa First Nation (Blood Tribe). Latasha is the founder of the Niitsitapi Water Protectors and has spent the last few years protecting the lands and waters within Blackfoot Territory from molestation at the hands of open-pit coal mining. Over the years, she has spent most of her time working in post-secondary supporting student leadership and reconciliation and changemaking initiatives at Mount Royal University. Most importantly, Latasha is the mother of three beautiful Blackfoot children that she raises with her partner Adam. She strongly believes in the importance of cultural revitalization and reintroduction of niitsitapi land stewardship practices.
