Asking Aspens is a community conversation in support of environmental protection. It's part of a collaborative research project in association with the Institute for Community Prosperity and Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) to explore the question "How might we change online engagement into applied environmental action?". This is a big question, involving a range of fields of inquiry, including ecology, information design, policy studies, management, and communications.
As this is a community-based project, community voices are very important to this “how might we” question. Conversation will focus on the relationship between online engagement and applied environmental action, as well as our relationship with ecosystems, in order to better understand how online efforts can be mobilized.
