Parkland Institute is pleased to be hosting the Alberta book launch (via zoom) of Seth Klein’s new book, A Good War on Monday, October 5 at 7 p.m.
Top policy analyst and author Seth Klein reveals how the wartime thinking and community efforts of the Second World War can be repurposed today for Canada’s own Green New Deal. He shares how we can create jobs and reduce inequality while tackling our climate obligations for a climate neutral—or even climate zero—future. From enlisting broad public support for new economic models, to job creation through investment in green infrastructure, Klein shows us a bold, practical policy plan for Canada’s sustainable future. More than this: A Good War offers a remarkably hopeful message for how we can meet the defining challenge of our lives.
Seth Klein will speak about the book and engage with a panel of Albertans about the major findings and his hopeful message of how we can take real action to address the climate emergency. The panel includes Dr. Angele Alook (Indigenous Scholar from the Big Stone Cree First Nation), Danielle Fuechtmann with Climate Justice Edmonton and Gil McGowan, president of the Alberta Federation of Labour.
The event is free, but you do need to pre-register. Click here.
