We were delighted to partner with Contemporary Calgary this year and take part in their First Free Thursdays during the "Entwined" Exhibition curated by Mona Filip, Dec 2025 - March 2026. We activated the space with a community art installation, inviting people to paint trees. With 100s of contributors, together we have painted - and also - planted, 100s of trees in our city.

As part of the collaboration we enjoyed hosting a Zine making workshop and talk with Black Eco Bloom, and Gabby Barber. In this program, we invited over 50 participants to creatively explore perspectives on climate justice, respond to the themes in the current exhibition, Entwined and get inspired by tangible climate actions to take in community. We got creative, shared stories, and sparked dynamic conversation in a dialogue that matters.

The evening started with short presentations about the work of Black Eco Bloom, the Calgary Climate Hub, and the Climate Justice Collective in the Heather Edwards Theatre, followed by a zine-making workshop in the atrium.
