On March 23rd, Calgary City Council will be hosting a public hearing on the decision to repeal citywide Rezoning for Housing.
Why does this matter?
Repealing the current rezoning will only worsen our housing and climate crisis. By pushing newer developments to the city's edges, we are threatening sensitive natural lands and putting greater strain on existing infrastructure like roads, water and sewage, and public transportation.
Our city does not have to keep crawling outwards to grow.
