Calgary Unplugged: Earth Hour Celebration
Calgary Unplugged is a family-friendly Earth Hour event held annually in East Village.
Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE)
Date: Saturday, March 26 2022
Time: 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Join us for musical performances, crafts, and educational displays. Participants can engage with magnetic induction systems, experience producing 300 watts of power on pedal powered bike generators, play with a midway style game to learn about Alberta’s renewable energy sources, and more! All non-essential lighting in the library will be turned off from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and participants are encouraged to bring LED or other lighting with them to use during this time.
Calgary Unplugged is hosted by Open Street Events with program support from The City.
The Calgary Climate Hub strongly encourages N95 masks and social distancing.
This year, we are also encouraging citizens to take part in Earth Hour at home or virtually with a community group.
