Closed-loop Geothermal - The Eavor-Loop™

Eavor’s energy generation system is a closed-loop geothermal system which functions like a radiator buried in the ground. The Eavor-loop™ uses the thermosiphon effect to move a proprietary fluid through a sealed system of wellbores, absorbing heat via conduction from deep underground and bringing it to the surface.

Eavor-Lite™ Demonstration Project in Rocky Mountain House, AB

In 2019, Eavor built their Eavor-Lite™ site outside of Rocky Mountain House, AB. While this site was not designed for commercial energy generation, it allowed Eavor to demonstrate the principles behind the technology of their Eavor-Loop™ system at the lowest possible cost. The demonstration site proved that the technology was successful, paving the way for commercial facilities to be built in the future.
