Ghost-Kananaskis Sub-regional Planning: Why It Matters and How to Get Involved
Join us for a virtual lunch-and-learn about the Ghost-Kananaskis Sub-regional Plan Engagement, and how you can participate in shaping the future of this important headwaters landscape.
Many people care deeply about places like Kananaskis, the Ghost area, and the waters, forests, wildlife, and recreation opportunities they support — but feel unsure how to engage with government planning processes. This session is designed to make the engagement process more understandable and more accessible.
You do not need technical expertise to take part. If you have spent time in these landscapes, care about their future, or want to better understand how land-use decisions are made, your voice matters.
Together, we will provide an overview of the planning process, explain what is being asked in the current engagement, and offer space for participants to review materials and begin preparing their own responses. Facilitators will be available for questions, while any feedback submitted remains private and entirely your own.
This webinar is hosted by the Calgary Climate Hub, the Land Lovers Network, and the University of Calgary (Water Assembly and UNESCO Chair in Mountain Water Sustainability).
