Where Calgary City Hall

With the planet heating up, apartments are getting unbearably hot. Particularly low income rentals. Seniors, people with disabilities and children are at greater risk when unable to escape the sweltering heat.

People are being forced to pay more for AC or just plain forced to go without. The heat is no longer about discomfort, it’s an outright health risk!

Join ACORN and Calgary Climate Hub to launch our campaign for a maximum temperature bylaw in Calgary.

We’re demanding:
- A maximum temperature bylaw set at 26º
- Free air conditioner program for low income renters while the bylaw takes effect

WHEN: Sunday, May 24 at 12:00PM
WHERE: Outside City Hall (800 Macleod Trail SE)
