Calling upon all nature-lovers, urban-forestry and restoration enthusiasts! 

We are excited to invite you to our Mini Forest Planting with the Rocky Ridge Royal Oak Community Association this September 27th at 10:00am!

This Mini Forest Planting will be our FIFTH Mini Forest planted, and FOURTH led by the Calgary Climate Hub. 

What To Expect: 

• Light manual labour: walking to planting site, carrying plants or equipment, digging and watering.
• Alternative tasks will be available for people who are unable to do physical labor
• Safety briefing and orientation provided at the start! All materials provided.

What To Bring:

• Closed-toed shoes/boots
• Sun protection eg. hat/sunscreen/sunglasses
• Refillable water bottle
• Gardening gloves marked with name
• Any personal medical requirements, eg Epi pen or allergy medication (bee stings, seasonal allergies)
• Folding or other chair for sitting during breaks (optional)
• Small shovel/trowel and/or rake marked with name (optional)
