Nature-lovers, urban foresters, gardeners and greenthumbs, we invite you to join us for a Mini-Forest planting event in NW Calgary.

Saturday 29th of June, 10 am to 3pm
PLEASE NOTE: NEW DATE! Due to water restrictions, our Bowness planting day has been revised to June 29th.

At The Bowness Community Association,

What to bring:

• closed-toed shoes/boots
• sun protection eg. hat/sunscreen/sunglasses
• refillable water bottle
• small shovel/trowel and/or rake marked with name
• gardening gloves marked with name
• any personal medical requirements, eg Epi pen or allergy medication (bee stings, seasonal allergies)
• folding or other chair for sitting during breaks (optional)

What to expect: 

• physical exertion, walking to planting site, carrying plants or equipment, digging and watering,
• light tasks will be available for people who are unable to do physical labor

We are also looking for 10 Zone Captains! Are you...

• an experienced gardener/tree planter 
• available on Friday June 28th from 4pm to work on plant/tree organizing, creating a grid with flagging tape and help assembling planting kits
• available Saturday June 29th from 8am to lead a team of planter volunteers
