Tony Snow

Indigenous Minister, Chinook Winds Region, United Church of Canada

I have been working in the area of environmental protection, resource extraction mitigation and Indigenous traditional environmental knowledge for 20 years, beginning with my work on cultural assessments and traditional land use planning with the Stoney Nakoda First Nation and other communities.

In my career within the United Church of Canada I have been working to utilize my skills and knowledge of Indigenous spirituality to help non-Indigenous communities understand the importance of our deep spiritual traditions for the ecology we call Mother earth.

I serve on the For The Love Of Creation (National Interdenominational Climate Justice Campaign), the Climate Advisory Circle for the United Church of Canada, and CAN-RAC Canada (Climate Action Network).

I am interested in connecting my work with the local community at Calgary with CCH. I have previously worked with and partnered on several projects with CCH and I look forward to supporting continued involvement and advocacy as a member of the board.
