Join us for training on impactful engagement at public hearing sessions

Climate Hub is hosting a virtual “Speak At City Hall” training/bootcamp session on April 18, 7pm, in preparation for the April 22 public hearing on the LUB update to include RCG. We’ve held a few of these before, notably before the 2022 and 2023 budget hearings as well as the Housing Strategy hearing last fall.

The typical format is as below delivered over 60-90 minutes:

• Brief on the Issue
  • What is the issue and why we support/oppose it
• Training on how to deliver 5 minutes
  • Who you are
  • Why you care about the issue
  • Conclude, mentioning our shared ask explicitly
• Facilitated break-out rooms for attendees to either practice or discuss what they use to build their 5 minutes
• Get everyone signed up in the call to speak
• Get everyone on a WhatsApp group to help be up to date on when their panel is coming up
