How connected do you feel? To your community or to your environment? Emotions inform climate action. We can either be apathetic our ongoing climate issues or feel so anxious we become too paralyzed to act.
The Vitruvian Fair is both the capstone and invitation to the cycle of community action which explores how we feel about the environment and what we can do about it.
Four high schoolers have spent the summer learning about the research process, studying local climate issues with a focus on emotional resilience, and synthesizing the work they’ve done through art. This final showcase serves as a dissemination of their research to the community, ranging from textile to bookmaking, from performance to painting. In the world’s increasing need for interdisciplinary studies this exhibit bridged the gap for youth to carry those skills into the restless, hope-ferried future.
