• Do you love getting people together? Do you have great ideas for how to host events in these pandemic times? Help organize social events or online webinars that are not part of regular Hub programming, e.g., Earth Hour, Earth Day, election-related events. Follow all social distancing guidelines for outdoor, in-person events, and best practices for online events.

    NOTE: The Hub is endorsing outdoor, in-person events as long as participants are fully vaccinated and all COVID-19 protocols are followed, including masking.

    • Strong Zoom skills - managing break out rooms, etc.

    Time Commitment:

    • 5-10 hrs/month
  • We are looking for one or two volunteers with book keeping experience or just a knack for numbers to work with our Treasurer. Experience with quick books would be an asset.

    All meetings will be held via zoom. Time commitment - Approximately 2 - 4 hours monthly. 

  • If trawling the web is your jam, we want you! We're looking for a volunteer to scour the internet for historical media mentions of the Calgary Climate Hub over its 6-year history. Then we need them classified and organised for reference. Finally, we want to set up monitoring for future media mentions, such as Google Alerts etc.

    Do you have the skills and experience to help us build a History of the Hub?

    Time commitment: 2-4 hours per month

  • I'll be honest - I don't really know how to best use Instagram and Tiktok, but if you do WE WANT YOU!

    We'd like to grow the reach of our organisation and community through social media that engages all ages, amplifies allies and gets the likes. Ideally, you already have a presence on these platforms that we can see to get an idea of your experience. Some vetting will be required for this role.

    Time Commitment: 4-8 hours per month

  • This year's Municipal Budget will be critical for climate action in Calgary. We need you to show City Council that Calgarians of all walks of life demand fully funded climate action be part of this budget.

    To prepare, we will facilitate at least one training session to help prepare your statements and support your ability to speak.
