We are seeking a volunteer with skills and experience in programming for children in the K-9 age range. This role is primarily focused on preparing and delivering programming for the Mayor's annual Environment Expo. A background in teaching, public speaking and/or event management will be a great asset.
Please advise us ASAP if you are interested in this role as planning for the event is already underway.
Each Friday, review the agendas for City Council and key committee meetings on The City's website and flag anything related to climate actions identified in the Climate Resilience Strategy and Hub campaigns. Post a summary in Slack and/or email the Node leader for urgent items. May be asked to write occasional blog posts asking for members to take action. May require additional research into proposed policies. Attend monthly meetings of the Mobilize Node to keep informed of campaigns.

- Familiarity with municipal policies and politics is a plus
1-3 hrs/wk depending on municipal activity

We are recruiting members for our Comms Node. Volunteering with Comms means an opportunity for gaining experience in social media management, copywriting, document layout, art and design, as well as collaboration with all of the other Nodes and Campaigns at the Hub.
Comms members will have the chance to work with every other Node to publicise, document and share our events, to grow our organisation and the wider climate movement in Calgary.

Time commitment: 1x monthly meeting (2 hours per month), plus additional commitments as you are willing to take on tasks.

As our digital content offerings continue to grow, we are looking for a volunteer to manage the accompanying legion of fans, supporters, patrons and community members rallying around our various shows.
If you have experience in digital community management, including familiarity with various social media or other platforms for supporter communication, our Digital Content Node wants your help to grow our community.
Time commitment: approx 4-8 hours per month
