Join us for a Youth Eco-Grief Workshop in collaboration with Refugia Retreats and Alcove Centre for the Arts!
**Please note that this event is now open to youth ages 13-25**
RSVP is not required, but helps us better prepare for the event!

In this workshop, we invite youth to come together and share your feelings of grief, anxiety, frustration, and hope surrounding the climate crisis, whatever that may look like to you. This workshop’s intention is to acknowledge and normalize climate grief or anxiety through a creative activity, and give youth the tools to transform that anxiety into action.
The eco-grief survival kit we’ll be creating in this workshop is intended to be an aid in navigating your feelings surrounding the climate crisis. We will be exploring topics such as self-care, skills and strengths, local climate action, community resources, and more! Picture a creative book-making activity, where you’ll have access to any art material your heart desires to create your own survival kit.
No crafting experience needed, support and guidance will be available for all crafting needs and questions! There will be lots of snacks and refreshments.
Refugia Retreats is an organization that has extensive experience in supporting people through eco-grief and eco-anxiety and facilitating conversation around these feelings.
Alcove Centre for the Arts was born from a desire to create more fun, exciting, and inclusive public spaces where creativity and community come together!
