Volunteers will be trained in monitoring protocols and will support in engaging Mini Forest communities in monitoring their forests.

We are looking for 5-10 committed volunteers to be a part of our Citizen Science program.

What We Do:

Volunteers will be trained to identify various organisms and how to monitor the development of Calgary’s Mini Forests in terms of:

  • Plant Growth & Mortality
  • Soil Permeability & Flood Management

  • Soil Health

  • Biodiversity

  • Human Interactions
