Our 'Ride On The Wild Side' Biodiversity Bike Jam event is bike-powered by YOU but the 'citizen science' part is made possible by the good folks at the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) and the REALLY AMAZING iNaturalist app, which records & submits your flora and fauna wildlife findings (aka beasts, bugs, birds, trees plants, moss, you-name-it) to CWF for their annual BioBlitz event!

We ask attendees to get the super handy & fun iNaturalist app on their mobiles (we'll set up a tether for wireless as needed) & if you don't have a device you can report findings to event host Bentley. Easy peasy! Honestly if you're the sort of person that goes for a stroll & notices a flower, bird, bug or beastie & thinks "what the heck is that thing?!?" then iNaturalist is for YOU. It's FREE & it HELPS SCIENTISTS DO SCIENCE. Just get it. Thank us later.

We're encouraging attendees (&, you know, THE ENTIRE REST OF THE COUNTRY) to get iNaturalist on their phones ASAP as CWF's BioBlitz goes from Sept 18th to 27th, meaning you can start adding your findings almost a full day before before our Biodiversity Bike Jam on September 19th, which is important because if you can get 50 observations in during the entire span of the BioBlitz you get entered in a nationwide draw for cool, nature-explorer stuffs!
